Wide Selection of High-Quality Koi

A primary reason our customers choose Byer Koi Farm is our exceptional selection of high-quality koi. We offer a diverse array of koi to suit every preference and need:

  • Diverse Varieties: We stock a wide range of koi varieties, including the Go Sanke of Kohaku, Showa, and Sanke. Additionally, we offer fast-growing single-coloured koi with huge growth potential.  Plus Doitsu, Metallics, and even unique koi that you'll have trouble finding elsewhere.
  • Sizes and Ages: We offer individual koi ranging from 15cm to tosai through to 50cm nisai, with some older and much larger koi available too. We also provide small koi mixes where you can pick your own mix.
  • Seasonal Availability: There is always a good range for you to choose from all year round. However, certain times of the year are inevitably better for specific varieties, sizes, or ages of koi, based on the timing of harvests from our breeding programmes and import schedules from Japan. If you are looking for something specific, we recommend contacting us to find out the best times to visit based on your needs.
  • Breeders: Many of the koi we sell are bred at our farm in Hertfordshire, which means they have fewer air miles than their imported cousins. However, to provide the range of varieties and sizes our customers want, we also offer imported Japanese koi, ensuring one of the most diverse koi ranges in the UK. Imported Japanese koi go through a stringent 6-8 week quarantine process before they are released for sale, protecting our farm operations and our customers from dangerous pathogens. This process also helps the koi adapt to UK water, ensuring a smooth transition into our customers' ponds.
  • Health: At Byer Koi Farm, the well-being of our koi is our top priority. While customer service is also important to us, it comes a close second only to ensuring the health of our koi. Every pond across our entire facility undergoes regular health checks, and our koi are meticulously cared for to ensure they are in optimal condition when purchased and transported to our customers' ponds.
