Japan Autumn Harvest Koi 2024 | Landed And Now In Quarantine

The new koi have landed!  They arrived from Japan around midday on Thursday and are now all having a good rest in our quarantine systems.

Once we get the boxes back to Byer Koi Farm, Amanda and I check each koi over and take scrapes from each box so we can optimise the treatments regime, which are part of the overall quarantine processes.

Whilst they're in a bowl, it's also a great opportunity to take a few video clips :-)

I am so happy with the range we've managed to secure.  Quarantine should finish just before Christmas - and that will tie in perfectly with the harvest of our nisai Asagi, Oakly Chagoi, Opaline Mukashi; and sansai Asagi, Chagoi, Opaline Mukashi. Plus a few other doitsu metallic nisai that missed the net in our September release.

So, prepare yourself for a mega release in December!

In the meanwhile, please enjoy these short video clips taken of the new Japanese Autumn Harvest koi... and please remember - these video clips are taken literally minutes after they've come out of the bag after a very long trip to Japan.

Once the koi have completed quarantine, we'll get them listed individually with longer videos.

In the meanwhile, they are available for sale. You can find them on our koi for sale page, filtered by Japan Autumn Harvest.  Here's a link for convenience:

At the time of writing this blog, some have already sold.  So if any are of interest, I'd suggest ordering to secure the koi.

The koi will become available for collection or delivery once quarantine is complete.  And any individual koi purchased now can be left with us until the spring, which is a complimentary service.
