Japan Autumn Harvest Koi

Our Japan Autumn Harvest range of koi have been sourced directly from some of Japan’s most respected koi farms, where we have built strong relationships with the breeders themselves during our recent trips to Japan. This allows us to bring back koi of exceptional quality, personally selected from farms where we know the standards are as high as ours.

As a UK koi breeder, our experience gives us a deep understanding of what makes a koi truly special. And we are starting to share some of that experience with you through our Koi Variety Spotlight series.

With our unique connections to these Japanese breeders, we’ve been able to select koi that are excellent examples and offer great value across a range of price points. When selecting koi from these Japanese farms, there are different qualities available based on factors such as pattern, colour and size and body shape. This naturally results in koi being priced at different levels to reflect their individual characteristics, ensuring that there’s something for every budget—whether you're a new hobbyist looking for an affordable yet beautiful koi, or a seasoned collector seeking a rare and highly prized variety.

These koi are carefully chosen to complement the stock we breed right here in the UK, adding more diversity and a broader range of varieties for our customers. By offering koi at different price points, we make it easy for everyone to find the perfect koi for their pond—whether you're investing in a high-grade show koi or simply looking to add a new koi to your pond.

So, now the key point! How to order. Our Japanese Autumn Harvest koi need to complete quarantine before they are available for release. However, they can be ordered now, and they remain at our risk until they complete quarantine. Our quarantine is extremely thorough, including two heat ramps and lasting long enough to help the koi acclimatise to UK water. This process takes around two months.

Ordering the koi before quarantine is complete reserves the koi for you. Once the koi have completed quarantine, they can remain here at Byer Koi Farm until the spring, free of charge. In the spring, you’ll likely be eager to bring your koi home. Customer service is key to us, so when you collect your koi, if you prefer to swap for a different koi of equal or greater value, we’re happy to accommodate that. The same applies if you opt for delivery, though we kindly ask that any decisions are made before dispatch. Once a koi leaves Byer Koi Farm, it cannot be returned, to ensure we maintain the biosecurity of the farm.

Each bowl of koi will be presented with a picture and video.  And in the description we will also provide a forecast of when quarantine is likely to complete.
