Autumn 2024 Nisai Harvest: Preview bowls 5 to 13
We've made good progress today, and catalogued another 9 bowls of nisai for this weekend's release.
This year our nisai release includes a blend of koi bred at Byer Koi Farm, and Go Sanke plus Tancho's that we imported from some of the top koi farms in Japan at tosai and have grown on here at Byer Koi Farm to nisai. Our aim is to provide the best choice for our customers of high quality koi, across the widest range of varieties drawing from our own production and that of Japan. To give you an idea on quantity, this week's release is around half our total nisai harvest quantity, and approximate split of 50/50 between koi bred by us, and imported/reared by us. With the the next nisai release - perhaps next week or soon after, being solely our nisai from the other spawnings we ran last year.
In each preview bowl, we are incorporating a blend of varieties.
Today's highlights included the Benigoi; in particular, the beni colour we've managed to land on these bright and imposing koi. Benigoi's stand out when they are a bright colour, and large. Our nisai are well on their way!

In general terms, our nisai range between 30cm and 40cm, and most will be priced between £195 and £495.
