These Marudo jumbo tosai are extremely special koi, and I was lucky to get the chance to hand selected these at Marudo on my recent trip to Japan.  I was in the right place at the right time, so I may not be able to replicate this next year.  The quality is extremely high, and obtaining Sanke from Marudo at this level is not easy.  Any not sold by the time quarantine ends will remain here at Byer Koi Farm for their second summer, and will be harvested, re-priced and released at nisai in the autumn.

These jumbo tosai are £395 each, and if you were after more than one will will offer a small discount if you are taking 2, or 3 of them.  We can supply 2 for £750 (£375 each), or 3 for £1035 (£345 each).  Contact us if that is of interest.

Koi from our Feb 2025 buying trip to Japan need to complete quarantine before they are available for release. However, they can be ordered now, and they remain at our risk until they complete quarantine. Our quarantine is extremely thorough, including two heat ramps and lasting long enough to help the koi acclimatise to UK water. This process takes around two months.

Estimated quarantine completed date:  Mid Apr ‘25

Ordering the koi before quarantine is complete reserves the koi for you. Once the koi have completed quarantine, they can remain here at Byer Koi Farm until the spring, free of charge. In the spring, you’ll likely be eager to bring your koi home. Customer service is key to us, so when you collect your koi, if you prefer to swap for a different koi of equal or greater value, we’re happy to accommodate that. The same applies if you opt for delivery, though we kindly ask that any decisions are made before dispatch. Once a koi leaves Byer Koi Farm, it cannot be returned, to ensure we maintain the biosecurity of the farm.
